"I was reminded that I don't have to be aggressive to be effective withdiscipline. Giving students responsibility alleviates teacher frustration."
VERY useful information; very realistic and "do-able" method!"
"I like that the approach respects students. We have a great foundation at ourschool, but we have a few teachers who, if they applied this approach would really affect a change. This could be the process."
"I was standing in our hall before school, visiting with a substitute teacher. A student was walking inappropriately in the hall. I excused myself and went through the process of 'Give ‘em 5.' The student, who usually argues at the drop of a dust flake, understood, and the adult near me saw the student treated with respect. When I finished, the sub said, 'Wow. He certainly couldn't argue with anything you said. It was so logical and reasonable.'"

RESPONSIBILITY-CENTERED DISCIPLINE TRAINING
The training consists of two full days and is provided for teachers and administrators and all others that work with students. Participants will explore their personal beliefs of discipline and look for solutions to improve their current personal use of discipline techniques as well as learning how to implement a consistent plan in their entire school. The focus of RCD is to develop a plan to systematically create a culture of respect and responsibility in your school. All schools desire this, but few have a plan that can achieve it. The RCD plan and training can do that for your school. The plan has seen success in schools across the nation and is a simple and realistic plan to implement.
